Troubleshoot the Magic Caster Wand app
- Can't cast spells? Go to the Troubleshooting section of Cast spells.

If the Magic Caster Wand app isn't working as expected, choose your device for step-by-step solutions.
Note Connecting to smart devices and duelling aren't available with child accounts.
Phone
You may need to try more than one of these solutions to resolve the issue.
Force close the app
Force close the Magic Caster Wand mobile app. Here's how:
Android
- Open the Settings app.
- Tap Apps or Apps & notifications.
- Tap See all apps (if needed), and then find and tap the Magic Caster Wand app.
- Tap Force stop then tap OK to confirm.
iOS
Swipe up from the bottom and and stop in the middle of the screen. Then swipe up on the Magic Caster Wand app to close it.
Update the app
Check for an app update. Here's how:
- Android: Open the Play Store on your Android phone or tablet and search for Magic Caster Wand. If an app update is available tap Update.
- iOS: Open the App Store on your iOS device and search for Magic Caster Wand. If an app update is available tap Update.
Then open the Magic Caster Wand app, log in (if needed), and try using the app again.
Android: Clear cache and data
On your Android phone or tablet, do the following:
- Go to Settings on your Android device.
- Tap Search and type Magic Caster Wand.
- Choose Magic Caster Wand from the search results.
- Tap Storage & cache or Storage.
- Tap Clear cache.
- Open the Magic Caster Wand app, log in, and try using the app again.
Restart your device
- Hold the power button until you're prompted to power off your device (turn the device off, instead of putting it in sleep mode).
- Wait 10 seconds and then turn your device back on.
- Open the Magic Caster Wand mobile app and try using the app again.
Delete and reinstall the app
Delete the Magic Caster Wand app from your phone or tablet and install it again from the app store. Then open the Magic Caster Wand app, log in, and try using the app again.
Update your device software
- Android: Open Settings, then choose System > System Update. Steps may vary depending on your Android version.
- iOS: Open Settings, then choose General > Software Update. To learn more, go to Update your iPhone or iPad.
Once updated, try using the mobile app again.
TV Device
If the Magic Caster Wand TV Casting app on your TV isn't working as expected:
Check your Wi-Fi network
Make sure your TV and the device with the Magic Caster Wand mobile app are both connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
Here's how to find which Wi-Fi network you're using:
- TV device: On your TV device, go to Settings > Network.
- iOS phone or tablet: Open the Settings app and then find Wi-Fi.
- Android phone or tablet: Open the Settings app, then choose Network & internet and find Internet.
Update the app
Check for an app update.
- On your Apple TV, go to Settings > System > Software Updates > Update Software.
- On your Amazon Fire TV, go to Settings > My Fire TV > About > Check for Updates.
Restart your TV device
- Unplug your Apple TV or Amazon Fire TV.
- Wait 20 seconds.
- Plug it back in, and then open the Magic Caster Wand TV Casting app on your TV.
Delete and reinstall the app
Delete the Magic Caster Wand TV Casting app from your TV and install it again from the app store. Then open the Magic Caster Wand app, log in, and try using the app again.
